Dr Mary Kate Byrne graduated medicine from Trinity College Dublin where she developed an interest in general practice. She spent time working as a doctor in Australia before completing the Mid-Leinster GP training scheme in 2022.

During her training she worked in several regional hospitals and gained experience in many medical specialities. She has a keen interest in women’s health and provides mirena and implanon insertion along with health promotion. She loves sports and is a tennis enthusiast.
