Dr Melia completed medical training in Scotland in 2014 and spent 7 years working within the NHS. Prior to that she completed a degree in radiography in UCD. She is a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners having completed her postgraduate GP training with the Trinity College Dublin scheme.

She has a keen interest in dermatology and has furthered her skills by completing a Diploma in Dermatology and spent time specialising in a Dublin dermatology clinic. During her time in the dermatology clinic she treated patients with acne (with roaccutane), eczema and many other skin conditions. She has a keen interest in women’s health and provides contraceptive coil and implant services.
